Meet the Dental Team – Temple, TX

The Professionals Bringing You Quality Care

The hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff of Richard Fossum, DDS are kind, caring, and passionate about their work. They’re happy to speak with you regarding future treatments, financing options, dental insurance, and any other concerns you may have during your time with us. Without them, our dental office simply wouldn’t be what it is today. Feel free to learn more about them below in more detail and strike up a conversation at your appointment!

Debra, Dental Hygienist

Debra’s career in dentistry spans an impressive 30+ years, having been part of our team for 16 of those years and counting. She attended dental hygiene school in El Paso, TX.

Debra and her husband Keith have two Maltese dogs. When they get the chance, they like camping in their RV. Debra also enjoys shopping and reading biographies.

Charity, Dental Hygienist

Charity grew up right here in Temple and completed her dental hygiene training at Temple College. Even though she joined our team fairly recently, she brings over two decades of dental experience with her. Getting to interact with our amazing patients and team members is what she loves most about working here.

Away from the dental office, Charity has five children as a blended family with her husband, to whom she has been married for twelve years. It might surprise you to learn how much Charity loves to sing – and how talented she is at it!

Robyn, Dental Hygienist

Robyn started at our dental office in 2021, and she deeply enjoys getting to know so many different types of people through her job and helping them improve their oral health. She is a graduate of the Texas A&M College of Dentistry. She and her husband like to shop, travel, and walk their dog, Nestle, together. Robyn loves anything that has to do with Disney and has visited Walt Disney World more than five times!

Angelica, Registered Dental Assistant

To Angelica, being a dental assistant is about so much more than helping our dentists with procedures; making patients feel special about their smiles is her favorite feeling in the world! She loves that every day, and every patient, is different than the last. She completed her dental assistant training through the Texas Academy of General Dentistry’s online program, and she is certified in CPR as well as nitrous oxide.

Angelica and her husband Juan have been together for about eight years now, and they have a toddler named Dominic. The couple are both huge Pokémon fans and collect cards and Funko Pops in their spare time. They also love to binge-watch TV shows together. Something interesting about Angelica is that she can be quite crafty when it comes to painting and decorating for parties!

Jill, Registered Dental Assistant

Jill has more than a decade of dental experience under her belt so far, with a handful of those years spent at our dental office. She loves helping our patients feel comfortable during each visit by relieving their pain and/or alleviating their dental fears. Originally from Cameron, TX, she attended Temple College as well as Brazos Valley Dental Assisting School, and she is certified in nitrous oxide, coronal polishing, and pit and fissure sealants.

At home, Jill has a great husband and four awesome children – one girl and three boys. They’re a very busy family who loves being outdoors and playing sports like softball, baseball, basketball, and football. Here’s something you might not know about Jill: she’s a super picky eater!

Stephanie, Registered Dental Assistant

A Waco, TX native, Stephanie attended the Waco Dental Assistant School and is certified in CPR and nitrous oxide. While she treasures being able to work with the amazing people on our team, she also loves getting to meet so many great patients every day and build genuine relationships with each of them.

Stephanie comes from a large family with seven siblings. She and her fiancé have an almost-four-year-old son as well as three dogs: a Miniature Schnauzer, a Pyredoodle, and a black Goldendoodle. In her spare time, Stephanie loves doing just about anything outdoors. She’s actually a triathlete, so swimming, biking, and running play huge roles in her life. She completed her first Half Ironman in the fall of 2021 and would love to do a Full Ironman someday! Her other hobbies include playing golf, hiking, traveling, singing, and going to AC/DC tribute band concerts.

Taylor, Registered Dental Assistant

Initially from Little River-Academy, TX, Taylor graduated from Temple Dental Assistant School and is certified in nitrous oxide. She loves that her job gives her the privilege to transform her patients’ smiles and make them feel confident again.

When Taylor isn’t at the dental office, you can usually find her playing softball or weightlifting. She has two beautiful nieces named Emerson and Charlie, as well as a wonderful goddaughter named McKenna. Here’s something interesting about Taylor: she can say her ABCs backwards!

Dani, Office Manager

Dani has been a vital part of our team for a few years now, but she’s worked in the field of dentistry for 15 years and counting. Originally from Holdenville, OK, she attended the University of Central Oklahoma and Platt College. She is also a registered dental assistant. Helping patients in their journeys to their best possible smiles is by far her favorite part of her job!

Dani lives with her husband, two children, and three fur babies. Away from the dental office, she likes spending time with her family, hiking, seeing live music, attending car shows, and going mudding in her truck. A fun fact about Dani is that she’s Peruvian.

Brenda, Business Assistant

Brenda’s career in dentistry spans more than three decades so far, with nearly 20 of those years spent at our dental office. She’s passionate about assisting our patients, whether that’s by getting them out of pain or helping them achieve their best smiles. She studied at Temple Junior College and the Texas State Technical College.

Brenda has been married for 30 years and has two sons, one daughter-in-law, two grandchildren, and four bonus grandchildren. Aside from working at our dental office, Brenda also manages a dance hall and bar. She likes to spend what little free time she has on scrapbooking and piecing quilts. An interesting fact about Brenda is that when she was four years old, she was attacked by a mountain lion and survived!

Lynn, Business Assistant

For the entirety of her dental career (which spans 12 years so far), Lynn has been a dedicated member of our team. She loves seeing patients who have struggled with dental fears transform into patients who are excited to come to their next visits!

Lynn lives on a cattle ranch in Jarrell, TX with her husband Byron. They have three grown children – Ryan, Austin, and Cassidy – as well as three cow dogs – Murphy, Shiner, and Poncho. As a sports enthusiast, Lynn enjoys baseball, softball, and football (she LOVES Texas A&M!). She also served in the Navy for four years and has traveled all over Europe.

Darcey, Business Assistant

Although Darcey is a relatively new addition to our team, we couldn’t be happier to have her on board! She loves building lasting relationships with our patients and making the overall dental experience easier.

Darcey has spent the past decade with her wonderful husband (they’re actually high school sweethearts), and they have one child together. Outside of the dental office, Darcey enjoys crafting and any activity that gets her outside in the sunshine. On the flip side, she also loves napping. As a lifelong learner, she likes watching documentaries and educational TV shows like “How It’s Made.”
