Intraoral Cameras: We’ll use a small, hand-held camera to take pictures inside your mouth. These images help Dr. Fossum explain his findings and let you become an equal partner in treatment planning.
Chairside Monitors: While you’re seated comfortably, a computer monitor provides instant access to intraoral photos, digital X-rays, and CAESY Patient Education videos.
Wax Ups: For complex cases, Dr. Fossum may create a wax model that illustrates the proposed effects of specific therapies. A wax up is a great educational tool to help you determine the best path to your ideal smile.
CAESY Patient Education: Short videos provide a wealth of information about dental health and treatment options. You can view the information from the comfort of your treatment chair.
Digital X-Rays: Safer for you and the environment, digital X-rays emit about 80% less radiation than traditional radiographs. The images can be immediately viewed on chairside monitors and digitally transmitted to insurance companies to expedite claims.
Digital Panorex: Our digital Panorex X-ray machine provides two-dimensional views of the entire oral cavity. These highly detailed images let Dr. Fossum identify issues not easily found during a visual or manual exam and aid in fast, efficient diagnoses.
CEREC: This revolutionary machine custom-mills crowns, inlays, and onlays in a single visit. You won’t have to wear a temporary and wait weeks for your permanent restoration. CEREC saves you time and delivers attractive, long-lasting, and durable dental restorations.
ViziLite: During your new patient exam or checkup, Dr. Fossum will use a ViziLite to screen for oral cancer. Early detection greatly improves survival chances, so Dr. Fossum will perform this screening as a routine part of your oral healthcare regimen.
Laser Dentistry: Dr. Fossum uses a soft-tissue laser to treat severe cases of gum disease, reshape gum tissue to prepare mouths for restorative therapies, and more. Safe, effective laser dentistry delivers targeted treatment that doesn’t damage surrounding tissue. Lasers seal as they go, so bleeding is minimal and you won’t need stitches. Procedure and recovery time are quicker than with traditional methods of surgery.
Sedation Dentistry: Enjoy an anxiety-free experience with soothing sedation dentistry. Dr. Fossum is a DOCS-certified dentist who safely and effectively administers oral conscious sedation to alleviate fear and potentially complete many dental procedures in a single visit.
The Wand: This computerized, hand-held delivery device provides a controlled flow of anesthesia for safe, comfortable numbing. The Wand eliminates that uncomfortable pinch associated with an injection, and most patients require less anesthesia than with traditional delivery methods.
